Sure thing! Thanks for the question. I think it’s simpler than other commenters are making it out to be. It’s really about exploring the idea of existence as predicated by discovery. —Like, “believing” in a superior power isn’t enough. In my view, a powerful entity in question, whether it’s the designer of all reality or simply a more advanced being from elsewhere in physical space, must first be encountered before it can exist among the things we as humans know as real.
Now, the important word here is “encounter,” because things can be encountered in all kinds of ways, right? Black holes were encountered by math before they captured an image of one. So, yeah. Science.
But back to the subject at hand. Ever played a video game where stuff on the horizon forms as you move towards it? That’s kind of what I’m thinking. Like this. Basically, all stuff, including god, isn’t there until it is.
Soon, the first metaverse will exist. At the time of this writing, the spellchecker in my Chrome browser is flagging “metaverse” as a word it doesn’t recognize. That will change. Interesting to think how the authors of metaverses will be viewed by users in the future.
But for the time being, yes, naughty cat.
