Like so many people, I’m frustrated with the futility of right now. Everything feels needlessly off.

“A Song for Dead Systems” — Version 1

I made three versions of this piece, but I assure you there are many many more versions of the headspace I was in when I created them.

I’ve always been fascinated with processes over the outputs they support.

A lot of the criticism I received in school was that my poems don’t say anything.

That they’re all discourse and no results.

Maybe, “discourse” is the “result” I’m going for.

Maybe, we live in a world only made up of processes and substance feels obsolete.

The first version of the poem above, is an homage to French poet Jean-Francois Bory and his so-called Concrete Poets.

The text alone, as it appears in the version below, was influenced by American poet, CAConrad.

“A Song for Dead Systems”–Version 2

Information, in my opinion, is a natural resource.

It flows like liquid or air.
